Fantastique vacation in France!

We met up with Evan in the south of France for ten wonderful days!

Adriene visited Matisse, Chagal and Picasso museums.

We enjoyed the ocea
n, the mountains, the villages and fields of flowers.

Joe and Evan DID actually 'run with the bulls' - at least they were running on the same street as the Tareaux - and the guys on horses poking the bulls with long sticks!

We ate great food, saw beautiful landscapes, swam in the Mediterranean, visited OLD places: including the medieval palace of the French popes, and a 1st Century Roman arena. We saw street performers, farmers markets, museums, did a little shopping and a lot of walking.

We stayed in an apartment in Antibes,
a B&B in Provence,
a farmhouse in the mountains,
and a 4 star hotel in Nice.

We enjoyed a lovely di
nner on Bastille day with a very international group of people: Italian, French, German, British, Australian, Canadian, American and Evan counts as Mongolian.

We took the public transportation for the first several days, then rented a car and drove through the countryside and the narrow streets of Provence. Joe was very thankful for the talking GPS, except for the time it directed him to turn right, and he found himself in a twisty, narrow downhill alley with stairs!

It was especially good to see Evan after a year, he looks great and has a really laid back and positive attitude.

Every day was different and interesting and we had plenty of relaxing time too. I wish we had the time and money to spend the whole summer there!
